About the Event

The Indian Cement Industry is the second largest cement producer in the world. It accounts for more than 8% of the global installed capacity. India is the house for 250 large cement plants accounting for an installed cement capacity of more than 690 MTPA.
With the increased infrastructure developments in the country and increasing demand from the real estate sector, there is a positive growth projection for the cement production in the country. This rapid growth rate requires an innovative approach by the industry toward optimal resource utilization, lower emissions, and stringent discharge standards.
The Indian Cement Industry is globally recognized as one of the most energy and resource-efficient industries.
The Indian cement industry has already taken a proactive approach through increased usage of alternative fuels in the cement kilns and utilization of WHR, resulting in reduced emissions and production costs. With prudent resource usage businesses not only gain a competitive edge but also turn out to be ecologically sustainable business models.
