Our Team

Kannan works on energy, sustainability, and climate change initiatives of CII- GBC.

He has more than 15 years of experience with expertise in manufacturing, energy and climate change. He worked in the manufacturing sector for 6 years and has been associated with CII-Godrej GBC since 2013.

He is leading energy audit teams for various industrial sectors at national and international level, he has also worked on several projects, which can facilitate decarbonisation in the Indian industries including development of sectoral roadmaps and strategies for Net zero, accelerating AFR utilization in Indian industry, enhancing energy efficiency of MSME sectors, GHG inventorisation for large industries & SMEs, Life cycle assessment studies for multiple sectors, etc.

He has also conducted 50+ training programs on enhancing energy efficiency, alternative fuels, GHG and LCA. Published multiple articles at national and International levels.

He holds a post graduate certification in Business Management from XLRI, Jamshedpur and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering. He is also a Certified Energy Auditor and ISO 50001 Lead Auditor.
