Vaibhav Girdhar works on energy efficiency and climate change projects and events. He is involved in promoting energy efficiency in the Cement industry.

He has more than 15 years of experience. He worked in a cement plant for five years, in the process & production department. He has in-depth understanding of cement manufacturing processes, and has expertise in plant operation, process engineering, pollution control, and energy conservation. He has been associated with CII-Godrej GBC for 6+ years.

In energy efficiency, he has been involved in more than 55 detailed energy audits in various industries, like cement, pulp & paper, metal, and Iron & Steel. He is involved in facilitation & promotion of energy efficient technologies in the cement industry. He is actively working with the Indian cement sector in promoting the concept of World Class Energy Efficiency. He has also been instrumental in bringing out several publications, manuals, case study booklets, etc. He has carried out Monitoring & Verification studies under BEE PAT scheme. He has conducted more than 50 training programs on energy efficiency.

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering. He is also a BEE Accredited Energy Auditor, and ISO 50001 Lead Auditor.
