Kiran Ananth works on energy efficiency and climate change initiatives of CII - Godrej GBC. On energy efficiency front, Kiran Ananth has been involved in more than 500 detailed energy audits and over 150 training programs on energy management across various industrial sectors.' Over the last 15 years, Kiran is actively working with the Indian cement sector in promoting the concept of World Class Energy Efficiency.' He is involved in carrying out detailed energy efficiency studies in over 70 cement units across the country. He has also been instrumental in bringing out several publications, manuals, case study booklets, training programs, etc in the Indian cement industry. Apart from assisting Indian cement companies enhance their energy efficiency levels, Kiran works with the Indian cement sector in other initiatives such as alternate fuel usage, co-processing of waste in cement kilns, promoting adoption of waste heat recovery in cement industry, etc. He is also a member of the Indian team of Asia Pacific Partnership Cement Task force. Working on the climate change initiatives of CII - Godrej GBC, Kiran helps various companies inventorize their Green House Gas (GHG) emission, establish the baseline and facilitate companies set targets for GHG emission reduction in near future. He is associated with various cement, chemical and engineering companies in establishing their GHG emission inventory baseline, setting targets for reduction and identifying areas for achieving the same.
