Mr. Sanjay Singh

Mr. Sanjay Singh is a stalwart of the Indian paper industry with over four decades of distinguished service. A Chemical Engineer from IIT Kanpur, he began his journey with ITC Bhadrachalam in 1977 as a Management Trainee and went on to serve as the Group Head – Paper & Packaging and Divisional Chief Executive of ITC PSPD. Under his visionary leadership, ITC PSPD became a pioneer in sustainable manufacturing, implementing lean practices, TPM, and the celebrated “Well-being out of Waste (WOW)” initiative. His relentless focus on innovation and sustainability made ITC’s paper mills among the most energy and water-efficient in the country.

A passionate advocate of green growth, Mr. Singh played a pivotal role in developing the CII GreenCo rating system and chaired the CII GreenCo Hyderabad Forum. He also served as President of IPMA and IPPTA, and as Chairman of CII Telangana. Known for his technical acumen and people-centric leadership, Mr. Singh’s contributions have inspired the sector to embrace sustainability and excellence. His legacy continues to guide the Indian pulp and paper industry towards a greener, more resilient future.
